I've been smiling at Mommy.  She gets really excited when I do.  She seems to become really happy when I smile so I am spacing them out and not giving her too many at one time.  Towards the end of the week I got some sniffles.  Mommy blames Daddy for bringing home germs.  Mommy is a tad germ phobic - we love her anyway.

September 21 - September 27, 2004

Mommy got mastitis and Daddy and I spent quite a few days at the hospital with her.  Mommy likes to joke that we are at the spa.  As far as I can tell, this spa doesn't have quite the amenities as one would expect.  I mean seriously, where were the mud baths and facials?  I got to try my first taste of formula.  It was ok but I definitely prefer Mommy.

Well Mommy is quite good at breastfeeding as it turns out...I've gained nearly a pound and I am weighing in at a whopping 6 lbs. 12 oz.  I got to go to the doctor for my 2 week wellness visit.  I am healthy and growing nicely according to my doctor.

I officially got my belly button on Saturday!

I spend a lot of time sleeping.  Clearly, I am so cute while I am doing it.  Wilson likes to check me out.  I get lots of snifs and licks.  Mommy and Daddy are pretty tired.

Ok so I am not sure which I like better - being in mommy's tummy or getting used to this strange new world.  One thing I do know is that I am HUNGRY all the time.  And when I am not hungry I like to poop or sleep.  Mommy and Dad both look pretty tired.  But they also look extremely happy.  I think I am going to like living with them and Wilson.  Oh by the way, Wilson is my doggy a.k.a. Big Brother.  I assume many of you already know this - particularly since he is quite an accomplished Web master. 

So I lost a bit of weight since being born.  I am currently down to 5 lbs. and 13 oz.  Perfectly normal I am told.  We'll see how good Mommy is at breastfeeding at my two week appointment.
