6 Months - March 2005

 March 22 - March 28, 2005
(29 Weeks)

My bottom tooth finally popped through.  It has a very sharp edge and I am biting on everything I can get into my mouth - particularly my arm and the rubber coated baby spoon.  The jury is still out on whether I really like my new car seat or not.  I tend to cry a bit once I get into the car and I miss the head support that I had in my infant seat.  I also don't like having to wake up when we get to our destination.  The worst part is that I have to wear a coat and it makes it very difficult for me to get my thumb into my mouth.  I got a Fisher Price Intellitainer - it is SO much fun.  Unlike with my bouncer chairs, I can stand up and there are a ton of toys, music makers, and songs to enjoy.

March 15 - March 21, 2005
(28 Weeks)

This week is my last week in the Peg Perego infant car seat.  I am moving into the Britax Marathon and it is HUGE!  Gone are the convenient days of snapping the car seat into the stroller.

I have been exploring everything with my hands.  I have learned to use them simultaneously when shaking rattles.  I got two new rattles from Gymboree last week - a orange one with bells and a green one with beads.  They are SO fun.

I have become really interested in watching Mommy and Daddy eat.  I am eager to taste what they are having and drink from a real cup.  Mommy got me a sippy cup so that I can begin practicing soon.

 March 8 - March 14, 2005
(27 Weeks)

Lots of new things to report.  First and most exciting I went out to lunch with my friend Sean today.  He just turned one year old!  We had a lot of fun smiling and looking at each other.  We also sat in matching chairs!  This was my first time sitting in a restaurant high chair.  This leads me to my next item of excitement - I am sitting for longer periods of time without support.  Mommy sits nearby just in case I begin to topple.  If I have something to occupy my time I can sit as long as 10 minutes!

On Sunday I ventured into the city for brunch with Yusuf, Jennifer, Pinar, and Kursad.  It was great.  Pinar took some pictures that I'll add to the site once we get them.  I am becoming quite the cosmopolitan restaurant-goer!

 March 1 - March 7, 2005
(26 Weeks)

Today I had my six month wellness visit.  I only needed three shots this time instead of four.  I didn't even cry during the first one but as you can see that didn't last after receiving the other two.  The doctor's said everything is great and I am growing just like I should.  I am 26 1/4 inches long and I weigh 12 lbs. and 14 oz. which is a little light but it is expected after experiencing nine days of diarrhea - yeah that's right nine days and counting.  There is nothing like a liquid party in your pants - it keep the parents on their toes let me tell you!
