7 Months - April 2005

April 26 - May 2, 2005
(34 Weeks)

Here I am in my swimsuit.  Grandpa came to the pool with us today.  It was great fun.  I showed him how I can kick my feet as I swim across the pool.  I also demonstrated my ability to swim after the purple ball and grab it with both my hands.  Mommy still helps with the swimming part.  I hope that Grandpa will join me in water sometime soon.

I think I am teething again.  I covered my jacket in drool yesterday while I was at the park and I have been chewing on everything as of late.

I like to play for longer periods of time.  Some of my favorite things to play with are the remote control, my big stuffed ball, the Leap Frog table, and a spare keyboard that Daddy found for me!

New Foods for this week:  Prunes, Green Beans with Potato, and Pears with Wild Blueberries!

April 19 - April 25, 2005
(33 Weeks)

We've been having some warm weather and I love it!  I got to go sit in the back yard and play with my toys.  Mommy blew bubbles for me to watch and pop - it was so great!

I started clapping my hands.  I am rolling back and forth to grab at toys and things just out of my reach.  I also have been pivoting around like clock hands while I lay on my back.

I am starting to sip from a sippy cup but I enjoy throwing it on the floor more than holding it for sipping.  Daddy let me drink out of his glass the other day.  I got my first taste of pink lemonade.  I liked it!

New Foods for this week:  Carrots (again) and avocado

April 12 - April 18, 2005
(32 Weeks)

I finished my last Gymbabies class at Gymboree.  I am the oldest one in class and have out grown this level.  I have a bunch of friends who I will miss seeing each week - especially Cole, Stone, and Sammy.  Mommy and I previewed a Gymcrawlers class but I am not quite ready for that yet.  Maybe once I officially start crawling.

I've tried all of the stage 1 foods and once I deplete our stockpile I will get to try some of the stage 2 combinations.  Just think, I will soon be eating real food like Frosted Mini-Wheats!  Ok maybe not but I do like to move my mouth like I am chewing while Mommy eats hers in the morning.  She thinks that Cheerios might be more my speed.

I had a great time at swimming class again today.  I took a nice relaxing bath after we got home and snuggled into my spa set (thanks Kacie!).  It is so warm and cozy.

April 5 - April 11, 2005
(31 Weeks)

Today was the first day of my swim class.  I was the youngest and according to Mommy (and I think the Instructor) the cutest!  I wasn't afraid at all.  Mommy held me tight and I moved my arms and kicked my legs.  We sang lots of songs and moved through the water by ourselves and with floatation devices.  I am such a natural, I can even suck my thumb while I swim!  I had so much fun and I can't wait to go again next week.  I took one whopper of a nap after class - swimming can be very tiring!

On Saturday at breakfast I held my bottle for the first time.  I haven't quite figured out how to tip it so that I get the milk but I have a pretty good grip.

I am really starting to get more coordinated.  I am moving my body (a.k.a. skooching) to reach for things that are not nearby.  I can also bend all the way forward while sitting and then straighten back up.  My single location days are numbered...

March 29 - April 4, 2005
(30 Weeks)

I had a really busy weekend.  We went on a trip to see Mommy's side of the family and most importantly - Reid (he cuts Mommy's hair and she loves him).  I didn't mind the drive at all.  I was really small the last time we went so I wasn't sure what to expect.  I wound up sleeping most of the way.

I am sitting for longer periods of time by myself - an independent sitter I am.  I also learned that I can put my toes into my mouth!  Mmmmm...they are almost as tasty as my fingers.

My second bottom tooth has arrived!  Now I have two!
