15 Months - December 2005
December 27 - January 2, 2005
(1 year, 17 weeks)
On Christmas Day I really started walking. I
even walked all the way down Grandma's hallway. However, I am only
interested in walking when I am walking to somebody. The rest of the
time I prefer to walk on my knees or crawl.
I think most everybody knows that I am going to be a big
sister. When Mommy asks where the baby is I lift up her shirt and kiss
her belly. I can also say baby. I have a Teletubbies Doll - Po
and he has a baby on his belly. Sometimes I kiss that baby too.
I have discovered the fun of stacking toys like Legos and
blocks rather then just knocking them down (which is still lots of fun don't
get me wrong).

"I'm a Walker!"
My
first PowerPoint - Yes I really did this all by myself
including opening the application in the first place.
(Mommy only created the title page).
December 20 - December 26, 2005
(1 year, 16 weeks)
I am not making much progress on my walking but I continue
to take a few steps here and there when the urge strikes me. I am
really in no hurry.
Last week was the first and only week that I didn't have a
journal entry. I decided that I've been so busy lately that I'd have a
by week - just like my beloved football "guys" take every so often.
I've learned many animal sounds. I can go moo, meow,
oink, quack, roar, baa, whinny, ooh ooh (monkey), and of course elephant.
I also know many body parts. Head, hair, teeth,
mouth, tongue, hands, chest, belly, belly button, elbow, tushie and tookus
(thanks to daddy), legs, feet, knees, and toes.
The other night daddy asked me if I wanted to watch TV -
my reply... "yeah."

"Giddy Up!"
December 13 - December 19, 2005
(1 year, 15 weeks)
Our first by week.
December 6 - December 12, 2005
(1 year, 14 weeks)
I officially took my first steps - 5 or 6 to be exact - on
Sunday, December 4 when I walked to Daddy. :-) It was very
exciting for all of us. Mommy got to see me walk a little later when I
walked from Daddy to her. So every day since then I have been
practicing. I am even standing without pulling myself up.
At my 15th month appointment we found out that I weight a
little over 18lbs. and therefore will remain rear facing for a while longer.
That really isn't much of a problem however, wearing my winter coat in the
car seat is horrible. I don't like it one bit!
I really enjoy reading my books and having Mommy and Daddy
read to me. My favorite books right now are The Very Hungry
Caterpillar, 5 Little Ducks and of course The Snowy Day.
