16 Months - January 2006
January 24 - January 30, 2006

Mommy and I went to the mall to get me my first official
pair of shoes. I have been wearing Robeez up until now but since I have
become such a master walker they are no longer practical. We went to Stride
Rite and Mommy let me pick between two pairs - a pair of white leather shoes
with pink flowers or pink and white gym shoes. I threw the flower shoes on
the floor so Mommy went with the gym shoes. They are great and even have
Velcro closures! After Mommy paid for the shoes I proceeded to walk ALL
around the mall. I walked so much that I had to take a nap when I got home!
On Saturday Mommy brought home a pair of purple boots and
I got to go play in the snow with Daddy. They also have Velcro but they are
much harder to walk in than my shoes.

January 17 - January 23, 2006

Today Daddy and I went on our very first outing alone
today (without Mommy). We had so much fun! We went to the mall
and I got to have McDonalds. I really like the fries. I didn't
like them a while back but lately they've grown on me. I also had some
burger. We went into the Land of Nod and Daddy took my picture on this
rocking chair. I really liked the rocking chair and was a bit unhappy
to leave it. I even spilled my snack when Daddy put me back into the
stroller. I might need to get a rocker of my own someday soon.
I enjoy pretending to talk on the phone and today while I
was doing so the baby got a call. I walked over to Mommy's belly and
put the phone up to the baby's ear. I wasn't sure if the baby actually
said hi or not but I'd like to think that it did.

January 10 - January 16, 2006

I am starting my New Year off as an official walker, which
I am now doing almost full time. I particularly like chasing Wilson
and walking around the kitchen table.
I am also becoming quite the Renaissance woman - becoming
skilled in so many areas - including drawing as you can see. While I
am getting better at keeping the crayons on the paper I still like to
occasionally take a little nibble.
Last week Mommy took me to a fun play place where I got to
play house with my friends Rebecca and Aidan. I also got to pretend
that I was a veterinarian. Check out my

My language is really blossoming. I am currently
working on saying please and hippopotamus.

Happy New Year! I can't believe it is 2006 already.
Ok, I really don't have any concept of time but that is what everyone around
me keeps saying.
I got to spend New Years with my friends Sammy, Aidan, and
Rebecca at Rebecca's house. She has a lot of different toys to play
with but I liked her slide best of all. After a little while I learned
to climb up the slide, sit properly on top, and slide down all by myself.
