I love the vegetable garden. We get
cucumbers almost everyday. The picture is a little misleading but the
tomato plants are measuring about 7 to 8 feet tall. There are hundreds
of tomatoes on the vines but they are all green. It is a good thing
that they will eventually turn red or we'd never be able to find them all.
They tore the house down across the street
with a giant excavator. I have been spending most of my time, when we
are home, in the window watching. It makes a loud booming noise when
it breaks up concrete and it shakes the house too.
I have a new favorite DVD. It is a
Laurie Berkner DVD. She is a musician and the DVD is comprised of a
bunch of her music videos. I like to dance along to the music and even
mimic some of the movements. I also like to sing along in a few places
like "ooh waa ooh waa" part in the Walk Along the River song.
Mommy and Daddy have spent so much time
reading to me that now I like to read to them. I like to read Go Dog
Go and 5 Little Ducks. Mommy is impressed that I hardly miss a word in
Go Dog Go.

I went to the zoo on Friday with Jeffrey,
Lauren, and Pa. There were lots of animals to see. I rode on the
Ostrich with Uncle Jeffrey. It was so much fun! Afterwards I got to
eat a hotdog, pickle, and fries - lucky me.
Mommy got brave and took baby Ian and me
to a park - alone. It was our first adventure together.
Afterwards we celebrated with a Mocha shake. If all adventures end
that way I'll be voting for more.
The weather is much more pleasant today
and I got to have a picnic in the backyard at my sand box picnic table.
Mommy put water in a regular cup for me and I was drinking like a big girl

I got to harvest the first cucumber of the
season today, with Daddy's help of course. As you can see I am very
proud of my cucumber. More importantly I am really excited about
eating my cucumber (It was really good btw). It has been my food
of choice lately. I especially like the cucumber salad that Pa and
Mommy make.
On Sunday, I went to the city and met baby
Caroline. She is tiny like Ian. She slept a lot. She is
really cute. She also has a BIG pool that I got to go swimming in with
Daddy. I really liked the big pool and have talked about it everyday
since.
Uncle Jeffrey and Aunt Lauren are coming
into town tomorrow and they are going to take me to the Zoo! I can't
wait. I went to the zoo with Mommy and Daddy last year but now that I
am older I think I am going to enjoy it even more!

July 4 - July 10, 2006
(1 year, 44 weeks)
Wow, the 4th of July is a fun holiday.
First, we went to the parade and saw lots of doggies, marching bands, and
really loud fire trucks. I liked everything except for the loud sirens
on the trucks. Next, at our family BBQ I got to eat corn on the cob,
special cucumber salad, and cake - YUM! Finally, the best part of the
day...the FIREWORKS! Daddy, Ma, and Pa took me to the fireworks.
I cuddled with Daddy during the whole show. I also got a glow necklace
and bracelet - very fun! When I got home Mommy was still awake and I
told her all about the fireworks. I described the noise and how they
went Boom. I also demonstrated how we clapped very enthusiastically at
the end. I really enjoyed myself because I talked about it again the
next day. I can't wait for next year!

"Happy 4th of July!"
