30 Months - March 2007
March 27 - April 2, 2007
(2 year, 30 weeks)
Jenny, one of my favorite swing pushers in
the world, took this picture a few weeks ago but I forgot to put it on my
site so here it is this week.
I am on spring break this week but we have
been keeping busy. Tomorrow we may even go to the pool! That
would be so fun! I haven't been to the pool in a while I wonder if my
suit still fits.
I got a new umbrella it has my Sesame
Street friends on it. It rained a little yesterday and I got to try it
out. All I need now is some rain boots so I can splash in the puddles
and not get too wet.

Rachelisms: While shopping at the
grocery store as Mommy was reaching for a box of cereal...
Rachel: Mommy you're tall like a llama!
Mommy: A llama?
Rachel: Yes, a llama. They can reach really
high.
Later that evening...
Rachel: Mommy you are a beaver.
Mommy: A beaver?
Rachel: Yes you are very strong.
March 20 - March 26, 2007

I got a new kitchen! It is pink and
I LOVE it. I really like preparing food and washing my dishes in the
sink. Mommy gave me a pink sponge so I can wash my plates. I am
spending tons of time opening and closing the doors, taking items out and
putting them back, and turning all the knobs. There is so much to do
in the kitchen.
I had my school picture taken this week.
I even got a red comb. Now we have to wait three weeks to see how they
turned out. My teacher told Mommy that I did a great job.
Mommy bought an egg coloring kit for
Easter and I saw it. Now I ask if we can color eggs everyday.
Mommy said that we'd have to wait until April. That is SO far away!
I blew bubbles for the first time with a
wand on Monday with my Dora bubbles that I got at Gabi's 2nd birthday party.
I was going to do it again today but it was raining.

Favorite Art Supply: Glitter glue
(because I can add jewels to my watercolor
paintings).

I am really into puzzles right now.
My favorite is my large wood circle puzzle with animals and numbers. I
needed a lot of help putting it together the first couple of time but now I
am a pro and can do it myself!
It was super warm on Tuesday and I went to
the park with my friends Chloe W. and Aidan. I went down all of slides
(3) and I even went on the big girl swing! I held on tight and I
didn't swing too high. I even had Mommy swing along next to me.
I have started watching out for baby Ian.
When he is playing with something that he shouldn't be playing with I take
it away and say no. I then bring him an appropriate toy.

"All smiles!"
Favorite Activities:
Twirling, chasing, and jumping.

I have been asking for a pedicure for the
past two weeks on an almost daily basis. Mommy keeps telling me that I
have to wait until sandal season. However, I was thrilled to discover
a nail painting station at the Purim carnival that was at my school!
Daddy took me in and I sat at one of the polish stations. I placed my
hands on the table and spread my fingers out so that the lady could paint
them with glitter and red polish. (See my nail protection headstand to
the left). They are SO pretty. Mommy did have to take the polish
off of the thumb that I suck. Clearly the polish wasn't motivation
enough to stop that habit.
I did a somersault! A real one all
by myself! I guess those gymnastic classes are paying off! I was
so proud when I did my first one. I kept rolling to the side and then
voila - right over the top. Then I did another one and another...
I told Mommy to do one. She was a little scared I guess she hadn't
done one in years. After I gave her a good pep talk she did one and
survived. It also looked pretty good and I clapped for her.

"Watch the nails Daddy!"
Favorite Activity - Playing my keyboard
and singing all of the songs that I know while swaying side to
side like Ray Charles.
Rachel-ism:
Rachel: "I am a rainbow."
Mommy: "A rainbow?"
Rachel: "Yes a Rachel rainbow."
Mommy: "What is Mommy?"
Rachel: "An airplane."
Mommy: "What is Ian?"
Rachel: "He is the sky."
Mommy: "What about Daddy?"
Rachel: "He is an orange crab."
February 27 - March 5, 2007
(2 year, 26 weeks)
I was drawing yesterday and when Mommy
asked what I was drawing I told her "W"s. When she looked at my
drawing she did indeed see that I was drawing "W"s. Silly Mommy what
else would it have been?! So my first officially written letter is the
letter "W" (I also know that W says wa). By the way, nobody showed me
how to draw a "W" I figured it out all by myself. I can be SO smart!
I love playing with baby Colleen. I
especially like dressing, undressing, and redressing her. Although I
need a little help from Mommy. Today I changed baby Colleen's diaper
about 10 times in a row. I guess practice makes perfect.
Daddy got a new car. It is a
fancy car. At least that is what I like to refer to it as.
So for the time being we have Mommy's car, Daddy's car, and the fancy
car.

a new queen in town"
Favorite Foods: Fruity Cheerios and pasta.
Not together of course.
