31 Months - April 2007
April 24 - April 30, 2007
(2 year, 34 weeks)
I got my first pedicure today. Well
sort of. Mommy painted my toes. She told me months ago that when
it was sandal weather I could have my toes painted (I've been asking for a
while). Anyway, Mommy bought me some Crocs on Saturday and Daddy
called them sandals so the first thing out of my mouth was "Mommy we can
paint my toes!" (Thanks Daddy). Mommy set up the spa outside as
it was sunny and warm today. I also got to enjoy an apple juice box
during the treatment. Needless to say I am thrilled with the results.
Now I have toes like Mommy!
I like to go fast in the fancy car.
Daddy drives fast but Mommy "so slow." Daddy took me to gymnastics
this week in the fancy car and I informed him of this fact. Later that
day Mommy and I went to the store in the fancy car. I told her to
drive fast (she didn't) and I also told her that she needs to keep her right
hand on the shifter (like Daddy). I had to freak out on her a few
times because she kept putting her hand back on the wheel. Mommy calls
me her little backseat driver.

"My spa day."
Name Update: I was spelling my name at dinner tonight...
"R
RA
RAC
RACH
RACHE
RACHEL
RACHEL - Rachel that's my name!"
Mommy thinks I am brilliant and cute of course!
I am also fascinated with spelling my family member's names.
April 17 - April 23, 2007
(2 year, 33 weeks)
I used a knife tonight at dinner to cut my
fish. It is a kid-friendly knife but I was able to make it work just
fine. I am getting so big!
I am also able to open and close the front
and back doors and I have figured out that I can just walk outside.
The problem is that I am having difficulty remembering that I can't just go
outside without Mommy or Daddy telling me it's ok to do so. On a
related note I love opening the door for Mommy or Daddy or Wilson whenever I
get the chance.
I am finally getting more comfortable with
the great outdoors. I actually walked in the grass without shoes
today! It was funny, the grass actually tickled my feet.
Obviously, I am wearing my snow boots in the picture. They are easy
for me to put on regardless of the weather.

Name Update: I am using the alphabet flash cards that Wildy got me to spell
my name.
New Saying:
"Get me my milky, please." Milky has replaced milk.
April 10 - April 16, 2007
(2 year, 32 weeks)
Mommy and Walt Disney have found a way to
break my hair twirling habit. You see if I wake up and haven't twirled
my hair I get to watch one of Mommy's old VHS Disney movies. So far I
have seen Robin Hood, 101 Dalmatians, The Little Mermaid, Beauty and the
Beast, and most of Aladdin (I lost interest and didn't really like the scary
guy). Anyway, the past few days there were no movies and I still
didn't twirl I am so proud.
I have a flair for the dramatic.
When I want a hug or some cuddle time from Mommy lately I tell her that I am
REALLY sad and then add cuddle or hug placing a lot of emphasis on the
"so" part. I really don't seem to be sad at all when I am saying this
but I do give a good pout for effect and then I get the hugs and cuddles I
desire.
Baby Ian is eating good snacks these days
and I like to share or should I say I like taking some of his snack from
him. If I reflect for a moment, it is sort of like when Wilson takes
food from me except Ian is still too little to complain. Anyway, he is
having stars, cheerios, and gold fish crackers - yum, yum, yum!

Latest TV addiction: Dora and
Diego (Mommy really likes rescue pack).
April 3 - April 9, 2007
(2 year, 31 weeks)
I celebrated Passover and Easter this week
and had a lot of fun. Some of the highlights of the holidays included
looking for the Afikomen and then getting some money when I found it, eating
Pa's cucumber salad, coloring Easter eggs, the Easter egg hunt at my house,
and having two special dinners with family.
I have a new bad habit. Yes, it is
much worse than thumb sucking. I have started twirling my hair while I
am in bed. I only twirl the right side which results in an awful dread
lock type clump of hair. Mommy was hoping that having to comb it out
in the morning (or after nap) and the tears that go along with it would be a
deterrent enough but no such luck. So now she is threatening me with
no TV if I twirl. And I really like TV even if I don't get to watch a
ton of it. So far I lost TV privileges on Tuesday afternoon but was
able to keep them on Wednesday all day! A win-win for all parties
involved!
