July 24 - July 30, 2007
(2 year, 47 weeks)

I have officially graduated from my crib and now I sleep in a big girl bed!  Pa and Livia bought me some beautiful bedding and it arrived on Friday.  Mommy put it on my big girl bed and I slept in it for the first time on Saturday for my nap.  I then proceeded to sleep their Saturday, Sunday nap, and Sunday night!  Ian is sleeping in my crib as my big girl bed is in his room which is now my room.  That's not as confusing as one would think as Ian and I are switching rooms.

Mommy thinks I am a future linguist.  The other day I said "I'll call you Mom" to Mommy.  She replied "I'll call you Rachel."  I told her "No - if I call you Mom you call me Rach."  So Mommy asked "What I if I want to be Mommy?"  I replied "Then you can call me Rachel."  Mommy tried to trick me at dinner and had Daddy ask me who I was if he was Dad.  I told him Rach.  I may not know exactly what a syllable is but I have figured out the general concept.

Wednesday, July 2, 2007.  I didn't want to leave the park and cried "slide! slide!" as Mommy carried me to the car, buckled me in, and drove at least 7 minutes down the road before I fell asleep.

July 17 - July 23, 2007
(2 year, 46 weeks)

I LOVE camp.  I love my teachers and most of all Tasha.  She is the 12 year old girl who helps in my class.  She is so nice and cute.  We have been doing a lot of fun things in camp.  We stamped t-shirts, saw reptiles, play in the sprinklers, and eat lunch together.  I have some friends at my camp and we like to play.  We had a special camp picnic one night and Mommy, Daddy, and Ian went with me.  We ate dinner on the blanket and then I got to listen to Miss Nancy sing.  Tasha was there too.  It was a lot of fun.

My friend Cassie turned 3 and she had a Hello Kitty party.  We decorated handbags, made bracelets, had umbrella drinks, and even cake!  I only ate a little bit of the frosting.  Ian came too and played in the pirate ball pit with the big kids.  He is such a boy.

Potty Training Logic:  I will use the potty when I am 3.  My friends who are 3 use the potty.

July 10 - July 16, 2007
(2 year, 45 weeks)

Once a week we go to lunch with Pa.  This week after lunch we went to a fun park that has a water area.  I didn't have my bathing suit but that didn't stop me from joining the fun.  The water squirts out of holes in the ground and tall sprayers.  It was fun to stomp on the water jets.  Especially on such a hot day. 

I saw Justin Roberts this week too.  We went with the the Original Playgroup and Chloe W.  Mommy took me up to the pavilion so that I could see him singing and while he sang the Yellow Bus song I danced with Mommy.

July 3 - July 9, 2007
(2 year, 44 weeks)

We had a really fun and busy week!  We went to Sammy's house on the 3rd for a BBQ with all my original playgroup friends.  We watched fireworks from his house and had popsicles.  On the 4th I met another "Chelle" and Sam as well as Harry and Steve at a BBQ.  We went to more fireworks later that night with them.  On the 5th, Mommy, Ian and I went to the Children's museum with my new friends from the 4th.  And then we went to the pool with friends later that night.  On the 6th I had dinner at my friend Daniel's house and Cassie was there too!  On the 7th I went to a baseball game with Sammy (the original) and I got a ball!  I also had my first taste of popcorn (I like it) and lollipops (I really like them) thanks to the original "Chelle". 

Ooh, Mommy won me a Dora doll at the carnival by throwing darts!  I was so excited!
