August 28 - September 3, 2007

Happy Birthday to me for now I am 3!  Mommy took this picture of me first thing on my birthday.  Notice that I am wearing my cubs shirt.  The reason for that is that the Cubbies celebrated my birthday with me!  I was at the game you see.  Unfortunately they did not win - maybe they had too much cake before the game.  Butter cream frosting can really impact ones game if you're not careful.  After the game we had my 3rd Birthday celebration at home with just Mommy, Daddy, Ian and Wilson.  I wanted pepperoni pizza (granted) and I had a special birthday fruit salad (with candles) instead of cake.  Then it was present time - lots of fun stuff books, puzzles, clothes, Wonder Pets CD, and a sushi set.

On Saturday (my friend Aidan's birthday) we went to see Ralph's World.  It was great.  Even Ian was dancing.  Oh and we had cupcakes for Aidan's big day!

On Monday I had my 4th and final (I think) birthday celebration with Pa, Livia, Dorina, Grandma Gigi and some friends from Hungary.  I had a cake with "very beautiful and yummy" frosting.  I also had a fever but I am fine.  I got a really nice outfit from Dorina and baby Colleen got some clothes and shoes from Grandma Gigi.  I was really excited about my other gift from Grandma Gigi - a digital camera!  I have been taking a LOT of pictures.  I took over 60 before lunch yesterday!  Stay tuned as a foresee a new section for the website!

I had my 3rd birthday party with my friends at a pool party.  It was SO much fun.  Almost all of my friends were able to attend.  We splashed in the water, ate cake and ran around being silly.  Uncle James made fun Tiki shirts for me and my friends.  They were a huge hit!  Uncle Jeffrey made a surprise visit and played with me in the pool.  It was a great day.

August 14 - August 20, 2007

I'm no long sleeping on the floor as I am back in the crib at night.  Some days I nap in my big girl bed but I am asking to sleep in my crib at night.  It's a good thing that Daddy took his time and didn't dismantle it.

I am trying out a new role and it's called defiance.  At times I am doing my best to do naughty things, push everybody's buttons, and use my favorite word - "NO!"  My smirky smile tells the world that I am slightly amused by my antics.  Too bad Mommy and Daddy aren't as pleased.

I know how to spell both my first and last name.  I also know my address, my city and how to get to my house from 2 different directions (by street names).  All good information to know.

Realizations:  When told that we were approaching Wilson Ave.  "Oh Wilson Avenue and Wilson Doggie...they have the same names."  Also, heard earlier in the week "Apple Juice and Apple Sauce...they have the same names."

August 7 - August 13, 2007

I had my first birthday celebration this past week at Uncle Yusuf & Aunt Jennifer's house.  We had a yummy dinner and cookies for dessert.  I got to blow out candles and open my gift - a beautiful dress and some tights.  It was really fun.

This past week was also my last week at camp and I will miss my teachers and friends very much.  We made special camp books and put photos from camp in them.  I like to look at my book and remember the fun I had.

I was having a fine time with my big girl bed transition until this past week.  I get up in the middle of the night and I lay down on the wood floor in the hallway and go back to sleep.  Mommy and Daddy are baffled that I don't wake them up and that I sleep in the hall.  I am not having any trouble taking my nap in my bed so who knows.  Mommy got me a special princess castle alarm clock that has stars that project on the ceiling in the hopes that I'd stay in bed.  No such luck.

Friends:  Going through a real "friend" phase.  Likes playing with friends, talks about friends, loves being silly with friends...

July 31 - August 6, 2007

I went to the carnival with Sammy and Aidan this weekend and I rode the rides!  I went on the cars (twice), the ATVs, the big slide (with Daddy), and the airplanes.  The airplanes went way up into the air as they went in a circle.  I LOVED every minute of it and could have stayed longer but it started to rain and I was getting hungry.  My favorite ride was the slide with Daddy.

Earlier in the week I went to my friend Hailey's for dinner and play.  We made bead necklaces and ran through the sprinkler.  I also got to eat the frosting off of a yummy cupcake.  The frosting was blue and so was I when I was finished.
