39 Months - December 2007

December 25 - December 31, 2007
(3 years 17 weeks)

It worked!  Santa came to our house!  When we got back from Michigan the cookies were eaten, the juice box empty and there were gifts on the table (we didn't get a tree this year) and in our stockings!  Obviously we were pretty good this year because we got some nice stuff from Santa.

On New Years we went to my friend Cassie's house.  Daniel was there too and we had a lot of fun.  We played with Cassie's toys and even sang karaoke.  After dinner we had chocolate fondue - YUM!   We got to stay up past our bed times and we even roasted marshmallows in the fireplace.

December 18 - December 24, 2007
(3 years 16 weeks)

We have been preparing for Christmas and Santa this week.  I told Mommy that we needed stockings or else Santa wouldn't come to our house.  So Mommy made Ian and I stockings.  Mine is fuzzy pink and has glittery swirls on the white cuff.  Next I informed her that we needed to bake cookies for Santa.  So we made some really yummy chocolate chocolate chip cookies for him.  I also drew him a picture and wrote him a note all by myself that said "Dear Santa, I love you.  Love, Rachel."  We went to Ma's house for Christmas so we left Santa's cookies in a baggie on the table along with a juice box (which I really don't think Santa will drink but Mommy said the milk will go bad before he gets to our house).  We also left our stocking hanging on the mantle.  Then we drove to Ma's house and to my cousin Justine's house for dinner and fun.  I played with Sydney and Paige and Lincoln in the little house and with everybody in the pool.  It was SO much fun!

"Merry Christmas!"

December 11 - December 17, 2007
(3 years 15 weeks)

I had a very special Daddy and Rachel day this week.  Daddy took me to see the Nutcracker.  I wore my beautiful black dress and tights.  Cassie and Gabi and their daddies went with us.  I want to be a ballerina and my favorite part of the show was the blue ballerina.  She was so beautiful.  Daddy's favorite part was when the Nutcracker got his crown back.  Afterwards, Gabi and our daddies took us to Potbellys for lunch.  We had such a wonderful time and I have been dancing ever since!

Mommy bought me some princess bubble bath and then I took my very first bubble bath.  I liked blowing the bubbles and putting them on my head.  I also like pretending that I am Ariel in the tub with mermaid hair.

December 4 - December 10, 2007
(3 years 14 weeks)

I have been wearing a very special bracelet all week.  It is made of beads and it is turquoise and white and it has a beautiful butterfly bead on it as well.  Mommy has a matching bracelet and she has been wearing hers too.  Mommy told me that Pinar made this very special bracelet for me when I was just a baby.  She said that the beads came from Turkey.  Later that morning I told Mommy that I was going to show my beautiful bracelet to my teachers at school.  Mommy asked me if I remembered where the bracelet came from and I told her "Chicken."

We had our first big snow this week and Daddy and I went out the first night.  It was so much fun.  I love the snow.  But what I really need is a snow shovel!

We have been celebrating Hanukkah all week as a family but on Saturday the rest of the family came to dinner.  Grandma Gigi got me some new clothes for baby Colleen as you can see in the picture below.  I also got some nice outfits from Pa & Livia, and Dorina.  As always, I am wearing my crown.  Mommy got us some dreidels and we have been spinning them all week.  I like to stop them with my hand before the stop spinning on their own.  Ian thinks that it is funny.

Happy Hanukkah!
