44 Months - May 2008
May 27 - June 2, 2008
(3 years 39 weeks)
This week was a busy week. We had a holiday (Memorial
Day), we celebrated my 4th birthday (early) at school, and it was the end of
school.
On Wednesday, we celebrated my birthday at school. I
got to wear a special crown that was decorated with all of my favorite
Disney princesses, jewels, and other fun stickers. Mommy, Daddy, and
Ian came to school to celebrate with me. We brought a princess cake
for the class to eat (I really liked the frosting). When it is your
birthday at school you get to be the everything person. You get to sit
in the special birthday chair and everyone sings happy birthday to you.
We also get to ask the birthday person questions to learn more about them.
Thursday was my last day as a student in A Class. I was
pretty sad about that until I realized that I would be seeing a lot of my
friends at camp which starts in only a few weeks. We had a special
family picnic at school on Friday to celebrate the year. Pa, Daddy,
Mommy and Ian came with me to the picnic. It actually rained so we
picnicked on the carpet inside. I love my school.

"Happy Birthday to Me"
May 20 - May 26, 2008
(3 years 38 weeks)
It's not as warm as it was in Florida and I already miss the
beach and the pool. I am happy to be back at school as I missed my
teachers and friends very much. I took some shells to school to show
everyone and Mommy brought in her camera so that my teachers could watch me
do 1, 2, 3 under water. I am very proud of this accomplishment.
Everything is much greener than it was before we went to
Florida. The dandelions are in full swing but not in our yard.
Daddy prides himself in a week free lawn. So I have to find dandelions
else where to pick and blow. There were a ton of them near the train
park. I taught Ian how to blow the seeds off too. We had so much
fun helping nature. I don't know why people dislike the dandelions so
much. They are very yellow and very pretty.

"Blowing in the Wind"
May 13 - May 19, 2008
(3 years 37 weeks)
I love Florida. Every
day we got up, ate breakfast, and went to the beach. After lunch and
naps we also went to the pool. It was a pretty good gig we had going.
I collected a lot of sea shells and found some very unique and special ones.
I had a fabulous time jumping waves and splashing in the pool.
But the most exciting thing was that I can go 1, 2, 3... This
means that I can hold my breath and go under water from 3 - 5 seconds.
Mommy shot some video of me doing it but the file is
SO huge that she's going to have to figure out a way to post it. Stay
tuned...
The flight home was a breeze. Ian
and I got our "wings" from the flight attendant along with a bunch of fun
snacks - lollipops, chocolate chip cookies and drinks. I hope we get
to go back to Florida again next year.

"Bathing Beauty"
May 6 - May 12, 2008
(3 years 36 weeks)
I went on an airplane for the very first time
and I am happy to report that I am an excellent traveler. I really
liked sitting next to the window and watching everything get smaller as the
plane went higher. I also liked when we went higher than the clouds.
When we landed, Mommy informed me that we were now in Florida. But I
knew this was just not true and I asked her when we were going to get to the
"real Florida." I told her that the real Florida has sand, palm trees,
and an ocean. It only took another 30 minutes or so for us to finally
get to the real Florida. Unfortunately, it was dark and nearly time
for bed so we had to wait until the next morning to explore. You can
see in the photo that the waves came out nice and early to greet us.
They were huge, very loud, and fun to jump.

Milestone: I acquired a taste
for ice cream while in Florida! Yum - Dairy Queen twist with
sprinkles!
April 29 - May 5, 2008
(3 years 35 weeks)
Flash forward another 13 1/2 years and here I'll be
with my girls driving in my Cadillac (or more likely BMW - hint hint
Daddy). But practice in the Cadi right now is just fine by me.
Actually, it's Cooper's ride and everyone in the neighborhood likes
taking turns driving. We're still trying to figure out the
whole steering thing and a bush or two often takes one for the team.
Maybe if we spent less time chit chatting and more time focusing on
the task at hand we'd improve our skill. It's early in the
warm season so I am sure we'll get a lot more practice.
I had a school hearing and vision test. I passed
the vision no problem and I would have passed the hearing but I
wasn't too excited about wearing the head phones. Did not
participate was how my hearing form was completed. I think I
get to try again at the doctors when I turn 4.
