03/30/05 - "There goes the neighborhood..."

So I am calmly sitting in my front window, gazing through the glass, and daydreaming of Shishka when all of a sudden there are two white tail deer checking out the house for sale across the street!  Last summer they were doing a little prospecting but Chip, the terrier up the street saved the day by chasing one up the road.  So being inside as I was, I did what any good dog would do - I sounded the alarm (WOOF)!  I can tolerate the chipmunks and squirrels and I go a little nuts (ok a lot nuts) when I see the mangy neighborhood cat but deer?  First deer and then what?  A mailman?

03/01/05 - "My precious"

A dangling chew toy?  A tasty treat?  Nope it's just Rachel's feet.  Her toes tempt me and beckon me "just one nibble" they say.  The internal struggle to give in or resist is so great one could say it is similar to that which Smeagol faced with the ring.  Based on what I know about Smeagol's outcome I think I'm better off just taking this picture and walking away.

02/15/05 - "No dogs allowed..."

Tomorrow is my birthday.  I will be three years old that's 21 in dog years.  Hmmm...I wonder if that means I won't be carded any longer?  Not that I've had any luck getting into bars lately anyway.

02/02/05 - "To Spring or not to Spring - THAT is the question!"

I don't quite understand all the hype.   Punxsutawney Phil is furry and some may even find him to be cute (although definitely not Pogany cute).  Anyway, as I see it, the question really isn't whether we will have an early spring or not, it's when will it be warm enough to swim at the dog beach!  Can a shadow predict that Phil?  No, I didn't think so!

01/12/05 - "Le lac de glace"

The combination of thunderstorms and 60+ degree weather in January wrecks havoc on my frozen tundra!  Say hello to the ice floes floating in my yard.  This totally sucks since Mommy and Daddy won't let me play back there anymore...I wonder why?  It would be so fun!

01/11/05 - "Going to the zoo, zoo, zoo..."

Today I played make believe.  I was a powerful (and handsome) hunter - hunting Rachels.  You have to be very very quiet when hunting Rachels.  Long story short I caught one and put her in the zoo.

01/09/05 - "Faster than you can say..."

I watched the Purina Incredible Dog events today with Mommy.  I was really impressed with the Frisbee dogs but I got really excited when the Jack Russell Terriers raced.  I watched them run right off the screen but couldn't figure out why they didn't end up in the living room?!

01/06/05 - "The Frozen Tundra"

Ah...winter!  I love playing in the snow almost as much as I love swimming at the dog beach.  Come to think of it I just love water in any of its many forms - even as Rachel's bath water!

01/03/05 - "That's all Folks..."

Tonight is Garrett's last night with us.  It is sort of bittersweet - as I will get the bed to myself once again but I will miss playing (or terrorizing as Mommy would call it) with Garrett.  I am hoping that he will be able to attend my birthday party with Shishka next month!

12/31/04 - "Presenting the Queen..."

In honor of the New Year, Garrett and I got dressed to the nines.  I wore my top hat and g-dogg donned the tiara.  Isn't he pretty!

12/28/04 - "Tree Huggers"

When we are not rough housing, running around the back yard, or sleeping we can be found protecting the Hanumas tree.  It appears as if some of the candy canes are disappearing and we are determined to apprehend the culprit - that is unless they decide to share some with us.

12/25/04 - "Oh Joy!"

Today was bittersweet.  Garrett ate the squeaky out of my favorite squeaky toy but I got a gift from Rachel which just happened to be a new rope toy!

12/23/04 - "House Guest"

Garrett (a.k.a. g-dogg, g-money, gare bear) is spending the next 11 days with us while his Mommy is away for the holidays.  This is the picture I took to send to his Mommy to wish her a Merry Christmas.

12/20/04 - "Indoor plumbing?"

Here is our Hanumas tree.  It has pretty blue and white lights and all sorts of Christmas ornaments.  My favorite part is the candy canes - leave it to Mommy to hang them just out of my reach. :-\

12/15/04 - "Meshuga"

Once again those crazy parents of mine think that I am a source of entertainment.  As you can see from the picture I am tolerating their latest antics.  Oh how I wait for the day when Rachel is a bit bigger - then I can pass down my crown and she can reign.

12/06/04 - "Get a clue"

So I am probably violating some sort of law by posting this picture but I have to say that I am enamored with Steve and Blue.  Mommy happened to stop on the channel one day and I have been hooked ever since.  My second favorite show is actually a video, Baby Mozart.  I get really excited when they show the animals, especially the rooster.

12/05/04 - "I’m your knight in shining armor..."

Ch. Lady Cottington arrived today with her AKC papers and all.  At first I was alarmed to see another dog sitting on my part of the couch but when she rolled over and let me smell her belly...well, let's just say Shishka's got some competition.  Funny though, she seems to sit in the same spot all day long.

12/04/04 - "Lemon tree is so pretty..."

As part of my phobia conditioning, I am trying to face my biggest fear in the world...lemons.  While the lemon may smell sweet the fruit of lemon is terrifying!  Last night Mommy shared a lemon flavored potato chip with me (it came all the way from China!).  I was a little suspect of it based on the smell but honestly it tasted just fine.  Now if only I could get my hands on some of those Italian Meat or Crispy Duck flavored chips life would be good.

11/25/04 - "Thankful"

Thanksgiving - what does it really mean to be thankful?  To me it meant the 1/2 lb. of turkey scraps given to me by Daddy and the gruyere given to me by Mommy.  Ah, the power of turkey and cheese...

11/17/04 - "Dreams"

People often wonder what dogs dream about.  I can't speak for all dogs but some of my favorite reoccurring dreams consist of squirrel chasing, eating steaks the size of a house, getting scratched on the belly, and of course Shishka.  Ah, Shishka...

11/10/04 - "Almost out of Space"

I was cleaning out my email account when I discovered this picture that Daddy took. I was talking to Mommy on the speaker phone while she was on business in Atlanta.  I am SO glad that she doesn't travel - let alone go to work any longer.  I get to see Mommy and now Rachel all day!  :-)

11/09/04 - "Enter at your own Risk"

The remains of those who dared to enter are strewn about my lair.  Ok so my lair is really an area underneath the guest bed and the remains just happen to be an assortment of bones and toys.

11/01/04 - "Sugar Plum Fairy"

Ok, so trying to sell Rachel for dog treats was obviously a bad choice on my part.  But hey - I am motivated 100% by my tummy!  As you already know -  this poor choice of mine got me kicked off the computer.  My punishment did not extend to my digital camera usage so I will do my best to fill in the missing pieces over the next few weeks.  Ah....It's good to be back!

Notice to Wilson's Faithful Blog Readers...

Wilson's Web privileges were temporarily suspended due to his
attempt to sell Rachel for dog treats on e-bay.  Wilson has spent
the past two months "learning his lesson"  and getting acquainted with
his new little sister - whom he has grown to love dearly.
As not to disappoint Wilson's loyal readership in the future,
Mommy has promised to keep a supply of dog treats
on hand at all time to discourage any future Web bans.

Postings will resume starting November 1.

- Mommy

9/02/04 - "Vacation Gifts"

Ok, I recant that last statement about only getting a lousy blanket - as you can see I ALSO got a new little sister - Rachel.  Funny though, she smells like the blanket!

9/01/04 - "Vacation Gifts"

Mommy and Daddy went to the hospital and all I got was this lousy blanket!  Hmmm...maybe I could market this.

8/30/04 - "Self Portrait"

Today I experimented using the self portrait function of my digital camera.  This shot is my favorite.  I plan to title it "I'm too sexy..."  Speaking of sexy, I'd like to give a shout out to Shishka!

8/25/04 - "Packing"

After 4 hours of contractions, I told Mommy that she might want to put the last minute items into her hospital bag - just in case.  One would think that she and Daddy would be more on top of things.  Humans - I tell you - Geez!

8/20/04 - "Imposter!"

I quickly and loudly alerted Mommy and Daddy to the imposter posing as the baby in the nursery!  I think I must have really scared him, he instantly froze as I barked between the crib slats!

8/17/04 - "as·sem·ble"

I am going to be a big brother real soon.  Last night Daddy put the baby's crib together and in big brother style, I got to help!  Since I lack opposable thumbs it was my job to oversee the assembly and to assist in sounding out any big words that were in the directions.

08/15/04 - "Are we there yet?"

Daddy took me to the dog beach today!  I am a fairly humble dog however, when it comes to the water I must say that I am definitely the best swimmer at the beach!  Were talking gold metal good!  Check out the pictures that Dad took!

08/13/04 -"Hello Bunny!"

I love Bunnies!  I apologize for the blurry picture but I had to take it though nose printed glass.  My previous attempts to snap a photo outside failed.  For some reason, the bunnies tend to run away when I bolt out the back door.  I wonder why?

08/10/04 - "mmmmmm..."

Mom and the baby weren't the only ones getting gifts at the baby shower!  I got some tasty treats from my Grandparents.  They are shaped like mailmen and cats - two of my favorite things to bark at!

08/06/04 - "Super Sleuth"

From this spot in the window I can be the protector of the world.  I can see everything but not everyone can see me.  The people and passing dogs can definitely hear my bark - mom says it is loud - WOOF!

08/04/04 - "Play Time!"

This is my favorite toy to play in the backyard.  That is when there aren't any bunnies to chase, sticks to eat, or scents to follow.

08/01/04 - "We don't need no Stinkin' Badges!"

Today I start my Web log.  I would have gone to the dog beach but the e-coli levels are at an unsafe level.  I love the dog beach.  I even have my own membership card!
